The Melbourne Town Hall in 1910. This image is a marvellous street view, looking down on the intersection of Collins and Swanston Street, showing the various modes of transport, the fashions and some of the lost gems of Melbourne's architecture.
Notes from the State Library tell us that this is a "An aerial view of the Town Hall from a building in Swanston Street near the intersection with Collins Street. It shows cable trams in both streets, and a number of hansom cabs and carriages. The building on the corner of Collins Street, later removed to make way for the City Square, is visible in the right foreground." Photograph attributed to Sears' Studios.
